The warmth and quietness of Yugawara
The facility does not have the latest equipment, but we have prepared rooms and hot springs where your friends and family can relax.
The land of Yugawara was once home to many great writers including Soseki Natsume.
They relaxed in hot spring and create a masterpiece in Yugawara.
Please spend time away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

How to enjoy Suikoen

Yugawara town and open-air bath
Yugawara Town is known as a hot spring resort with a long history, having been mentioned in the oldest collection of Japanese poetry, the Manyoshu, created around 1,200 years ago during the Nara period. During the Showa period, it was a place where many cultural figures, including Natsume Soseki and Shimamura Toson, visited for relaxation.
The open-air bath, with its view of the rural landscape, will soothe your everyday fatigue.

BBQ and workshop on the terrace
We also provide a BBQ grill set so that you can enjoy your meal in nature, so please spend a relaxing time on the spacious terrace while looking at the tranquil hot spring village scenery and the exquisite view of both the Tokaido Line and the Tokaido Shinkansen.
Recently, in addition to the terrace, the cooking area has been significantly renovated. In the future, we will also be offering work experience workshops themed around local and international ingredients.
